YouTube seems determined to not lose any more ground to Hulu, and thats good news for users.

Googles videosharing site has reached an agreement with Time Warner thatll have it gaining some very popular, professionallyproduced content. An official statement explained, Consumers will have easier access to a wide selection of existing and future clips, ranging from CNN news coverage to Cartoon Network and Adult Swim animated shows to TNTs hit dramas to Warner Bros. Television productions like Gossip Girl and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The one problem with that sentence aside from its awkward length is the word clips. The YouTube and Time Warner agreement does indeed seem to focus on shortform content, meaning people wont get to sit down and enjoy whole shows as they do with Hulu.Still, Chad Hurley, the cofounder and CEO of YouTube, said, This partnership with Time Warner will provide our community with some of the most popular video content produced. We hope to build on this deal and look forward to a long and productive relationship. And indeed, its worth noting that this deal already represents a sort of addition to another one, since Time Warner properties like CNN International andHBO have had presences on YouTube for a while.
